Those black spots on the fish is a type of fungus this is what I have seen a lot of fish with especially at the pet stores. This is very easy to get rid of as long as it does not go to far or you don't leave the fish to long without treatment. The treatment I have found to work the best is called, Fungus Clear by tank buddies.
This is just one though of the different fungus that can grow on your fish most likely from not cleaning the tank on time, you should get your fish a filter to keep his tank cleaner, but remember to still clean the tank once a week and also the filter. if you have any questions just comment me or e-mail me. hope this helps.
